Dependable Kayako Hosting Needed - 09-01-2008, 03:24 PM

Can anyone recommend dependable hosting for Kayako? We have the hosted version now through Kayako and it goes down every day now We will be forced to look another company to host this software for us. I would prefer a company that can manage the installation, hosting and updates. Thanks for your help.

You can look into hostgator.com, we use them and quite satisfied with their services.

Their choice of data center isn't the best. I have read about some nasty issues people have had and it is obvious they are not quick at getting issues sorted.

A data center should be able to get a downed server back alive within 15 minutes if its a software issue and 60 minutes if it is a hardware issue. The industry has come to expect this.

We use three data centres at the moment, The Planet, GNAX and Softlayer. All of our client servers are now with Softlayer, and the ones that currently remain on GNAX will eventually be moved over.

slinc, I am sorry you feel the need to research other services; unfortunately the problems of today are completely outside of our control and we are badgering the data centre to speed things up.

Ah, great stuff. Sounds like something that needs to be done sooner rather than later.

Hi slinc,

would you be interested to host your supportsuite on a server in the Netherlands (Europe) ?

Especially for US customers it is interesting because of the time difference and low usage at night in NL.

If you are interested I can make you an offer including hosting, installation and updates.

Regards,

MarcelC

May be, but we have never had a downtime ever since we hosted with them as we have a host-tracker script installed on our site which confirms it.
