How to create alternating colors in kayako esupport

I want to have alternating colors for our user's ticket lists and ticket responses. Something that would automatically color every other ticket or post, respectively, the desired color. Any suggestions? I'd like to hear from people who have done this in their own esupport client front end, how'd you do it, what did you modify?

This can be done by editing the viewticket template and add if else statements to alter colors.
