bugs.kayako.com broken - 04-10-2007, 11:10 AM

Seems like the best place to post this so here goes.
http://bugs.kayako.com is broken, the man page loads but click any of the main links like add, search or register and all you get is a blank page.

Can someone please fix this so we can raise a bug please

Hi Steve,

They are working here. What browser are you using?

Try a CTRL+F5 refresh; I have tested it on IE7, FireFox and Opera and it seems to be loading fine here.

After doing a bit of reading and looking at the headers your sending it looks likely that gzip support on your site is the likely cause of this failure when combined with IE6.

I've tried on a number of machines here now all with the same results.

Yep its an IE6 issue but as a large portion of the web are still using it you might want to look at fixing it. For the time being I resorted to using FF to for your site

Getting it fixed does need to happen but you should be using FireFox anyway, IE6 is a very unsecure browser.

IE6 is not an insecure browser per se, in fact statistics show that IE6 and SP2 has been "more secure" for much longer than any release of FireFox has (re the number of reported high-risk vulnerabilities).

I will be looking into how to disable gzip compression so that you can continue to use IE6 - thank you for looking into it in detail

Yes but it remained unpatched for about a year and a half even though they knew about the vunlnerabilities. FireFox gets patched often when a new flaw is found (usually same day). Plus, FireFox supports the web standards, IE7 still isn't even close.
