Different ticket status for different template groups - 03-10-2007, 07:01 AM

I am unable to create different statuses for different template groups.

In "Tickets » Status » Edit" we don't have multiple select option where we can select only the departments in which the status should display. Single Item select will not solve my problem.

Let me know whether any work around is available.

Status' are global rather than assignable to different template groups. Feel free to suggest this in the Feature Requests board as I think a few people would find this useful.

One work around is to set the "Restrict Status To Departments" inside the status add / edit pages. You could then recreate the status only for each Department you want it for. It would only work if you don't have departments globalised over all template groups though.

If you are looking to override a status just for the client side then that would be possible by editing the templates however I do not believe having custom statuses for templates on the staff side is currently possible.

This goes back to my feature request where drop down boxes should be Multi-select boxes rather then single click. It would solve a lot of problems and duplication efforts.

System -> Drop the over-use of drop-menus
