I talked about what I think the point of Twitter is for Kayako in the blog post. However, for you and me (@jmedwards), you only get to see the point of and the fun in Twitter once you have reached a 'critical mass' of friends and followers - only then does the conversation start to open up. You can also follow notable people or groups. ranging from @stephenfry to @starbucks and @google. I follow @bbcnews or @cnnbreaking who tend to post breaking news to Twitter before their own website. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Rumors are Google will buy Twitter, so maybe in the future interesting new uses for Twitter will come up...
