The forum rules are not open for debate and can be changed at any time without prior warning. However, you are welcome to make constructive suggestions regarding the rules in the Forum Issues forum. Support The Kayako community forums are not a guaranteed support medium. Posting your questions or queries here will not guarantee you a response from a staff member. The forums are meant as a supplement to your support package. If you require product support from Kayako technicians, you should submit a support desk via the members' area (click on the Get Support tab). Bugs Please do not use the forum to report bugs. Bugs should be reported to the bug tracker. Forum moderation These forums are moderated. They are moderated at the discretion of the Kayako Staff members and the nominated Community Moderators. User accounts In any part of the forum, you are not allowed to:- Register more than one account for yourself, regardless of how many businesses you represent.
- Post on behalf of a banned user.
Forum conduct In any part of the forum, you may:- Contribute constructively to community discussions.
- Post constructive suggestions (including those that are critical) regarding Kayako's products or services.
- Support other users in their problems, troubleshooting or questions.
- Share modifications, language packs, styles and any add-ons for Kayako's products.
In any part of the forum, you are not allowed to:- Post posts made to be intentionally rude or insulting towards another member, or perceived to be made only to disrupt the normal flow of conversation on the forum will not be allowed. Forum staff will decide what is considered to be rude or disruptive.
- Cross-post across more than one forum and/or more than one thread with the same post.
- Post source files of any Kayako product, unless small snippets for the purposes of showing a user how to modify something or for the purposes of skinning.
- Spam (post things that do not contribute to a discussion or are completely out of place in order to increase your post count) or repeatedly bump threads for a response.
- Link to a referral or affiliate scheme.
- Post anything deemed inappropriate for a general internet audience (pornography, for example).
- Post or link to anything illegal (as is, such as Warez) or post anything that is rendered illegal once posted.
Signatures You cannot place anything in your signature that violates any of the forum rules. With regards to advertising and business name placement:- You can advertise your business in your signature unless deemed inappropriate by a Kayako staff member or community moderator, at their discretion.
- Content inserted in your signature must adhere to the Advertising and the Marketplace forums rules.
In your signature, you are not allowed to:- Use more than 5 lines.
- Use more than 6 smilies.
- Use more than 6 colors.
- Link to a referral or affiliate scheme.
- Trade, sell, lease or share your signature with others.
Advertising and the Marketplace forums You cannot advertise your products or services in any forum other than the Marketplace forums, unless advertising an addon or modification for a Kayako product - in this case and only this case can you create a thread in the Modifications & Addon Releases forum.
In any part of the forum, you can:
- Link people to modifications posed in the Modifications & Addon Releases forum (free or paid) as long as you are posting the link in a relevant thread; i.e. where the someone has specifically asked for a feature which cannot be achieved out of the box. Kayako staff and community moderators will, at their discretion, decide what is an appropiate thread to post such a link in.
In any part of the forum, you can not:
- Solicit services or offers to users (including via e-mail or private message) without their explicit prior permission (which will involve the user asking to be contacted in a thread.
- Advertise or refer to a Kayako license reseller.
Kayako are not responsible for any trading of item or service that takes place on the forums. Kayako are also not responsible for any custom modifications, works or code that have been published on this forum by community users. In the Marketplace forums, you can:- Request a paid or professional service in the Requests forum only.
- Advertise your services in the Offers forum only, only if your services are relevant to Kayako customers.
- Respond to service requests made by users in the Requests forum only.
In the Marketplace forums, you can not:- Advertise your pre-owned Kayako product license(s) for sale on any forum.
- Advertise your or anyone else's Kayako reseller licenses(s) on any forum.
- 'Bump' your advertisements for the sole purpose of getting your advertisement back to the top of the thread list.
- Create new threads unless you have made at least 5 posts to other forums.
We discourage users who have 'joined to advertise'. If you are not a Kayako customer and do not provide Kayako related services, please do not advertise on our forums.
