Kayako Running Old Version? - 29-07-2007, 07:46 AM

Just wondering...

Is there a reason that Kayako is not using the latest stable build for support?

"Help Desk Software By Kayako SupportSuite v3.10.00" is the tag line on the support site.

On a semi-related note, any reason that Kayako hasn't upgraded vBulletin to 3.6.7PL1?

Kayako don't upgrade often because of them being busy and to avoid disruption I think. They only do major ones like .10 to .11.

On the forum side, Jamie told me he is planning to do it but is busy at the moment and hasn't got around to it.

vBulletin is actually at 3.6.8

Actually, it is because there is no reason for us to upgrade yet and there are a number of customisations to the forum which would take some time to reapply.

We are running the latest build (and as of a few hours ago, the latest CVS build).

Nice one Jamie. I suppose as has been said, it shows confidance in the product.

Maybe a good idea to remove the version numbers from the bottom of the client front end tho so this topic doesn't come up again.
