New Stable Build A Myth?

I just wanted to drop a note in the forum to try to get an update on the new stable build?

Is it a myth?!?!

I know there are a lot of people looking forward to this, and I’ve read several posts from Kayako staff saying it was due out in early January. I’m just wondering if there was any sort of update?

The last post in the ‘News & Announcements’ section is from December…and while I appreciate the message wishing us all happy holidays, an update on this critical new version would be nice as well.

The current stable build is absolutely riddled with bugs. Things are broken at every turn and while I have no doubt it takes a lot to maintain this massive code base and attend to all bugs, I would like to see a new version sometime soon since many of us are stuck just ‘living’ with these shortfalls of the program.

I have had ‘urgent’ tickets open with the Kayako support department for a while now that do not seem to be getting answered at all. I assumed this is because the problems would be fixed in the new stable build and they were just hoping I’d wait. If this is the plan…how much longer do I have to wait?

Lastly, I hope this post doesn’t come across as me being excessively inpatient. I have been waiting patiently for a very long time, and while “good things may come to those who wait”, I also have a business to run and these Kayako bugs make that harder and harder.

IMO Kayako would be making some final checks. From what I learn, the new build is almost ready for release. I would not look for any official dates. Just be a little more patient it should be out soon!

As for your tickets, I suggest you do not post a reply frequently asking for an update as they would only push them back. Just email the Ticket IDs to raghav[dot]arora AT kayako[dot]com. I am sure he should be able to provide you with some feedback.

supportskins is correct in that the final checks are being made, and the next stable release is not long away
