Well I know big companies including ICQ, Volvo and Skype use Kayako (all may not be using v3), however I never came across any performance related issues with Kayako while I was with them and ever since Kayako software has improved tremendously so I do not suppose it should be a problem. Besides you can always use the "Maintenance" tool in Kayako to reduce database size and increase software speed. Keeping attachments stored in the files directory rather than the database can help too. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Hi supportskins. I like to know what exactly do you mean with 'Maintenance' tool in Kayako? How do I access it? Is it in the admin or in the staff access? Please explain it to me. Thanks a lot. |

Hi Daniel, You can find it under the Administrator Control Panel, on the left-hand side, titled 'Maintenance'. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Click Optimize All at the bottom. Doing it regularly will see big performance increases. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

I wouldn't say big - it's just a standard MySQL repair/optimize on the database. The best tuning you can do is in regards to the MySQL configuration because SupportSuite does a fair amount of heavy querying/joining. Take a look at MySQLTuner, Racker Hacker » MySQLTuner v0.9.0 as well as the MySQL documentation for tuning, and this MySQL newsletter: MySQL :: Tuning MySQL Server 4.0 Query cache.. If you need any further info, feel free to let me know. |
