Performance Kayako - 02-05-2008, 05:51 PM

I would like to know if anyone has used the program Support Suite of Kayako receiving

among 10,000 to 20,000 emails daily, with a number of users (who handles the tickets) among 200 to 300,

I would like to inform me about the performance that had the program?

When you apply the rules to the system that lowers performance?

The speed to receive the ticketes with such magnitude?

Well I know big companies including ICQ, Volvo and Skype use Kayako (all may not be using v3), however I never came across any performance related issues with Kayako while I was with them and ever since Kayako software has improved tremendously so I do not suppose it should be a problem. Besides you can always use the "Maintenance" tool in Kayako to reduce database size and increase software speed.

Keeping attachments stored in the files directory rather than the database can help too.

Hi supportskins.

I like to know what exactly do you mean with 'Maintenance' tool in Kayako?

How do I access it? Is it in the admin or in the staff access?

Please explain it to me. Thanks a lot.

Hi craigbrass.

I like to ask you how can I specify the files system directory, specified in Admin-->Settings-->Attachment Settings-->Storage Location For Attachments when you select 'File System' option?

Which is the default system directory in SupportSuite?

Thanks and regards

Hi Daniel,

You can find it under the Administrator Control Panel, on the left-hand side, titled 'Maintenance'.

Hi Jamie.

I looked for the option you mentioned:

You can find it under the Administrator Control Panel, on the left-hand side, titled 'Maintenance'.

but in my panel it doesn't appear. So, have I to configure or activate any link or something seemed to get this module?

Thanks.

Jamie, I´ve looked the Database option, it shows me all the tables in swift database in Kayako. Also, I appreciate two options: Repair and Optimize.

Nevertheless, what do I have to do for gaining my purpose of optimize the performance?
Thanks

Click Optimize All at the bottom. Doing it regularly will see big performance increases.

I wouldn't say big - it's just a standard MySQL repair/optimize on the database.

The best tuning you can do is in regards to the MySQL configuration because SupportSuite does a fair amount of heavy querying/joining.

Take a look at MySQLTuner, Racker Hacker » MySQLTuner v0.9.0 as well as the MySQL documentation for tuning, and this MySQL newsletter: MySQL :: Tuning MySQL Server 4.0 Query cache..

If you need any further info, feel free to let me know.
