Hi Neal, Whether or not your browser (re)downloads images is largely a browser/client configuration and behaviour. The images cache fine here, and are only occasionally redownloaded. As far as I am aware, vBulletin has been configured to send out instant e-mails on topic reply. However, when a reply is made to a topic you have subscribed, you will receive an e-mail. You will then not get notifications about new posts in that topic until you visit the forum / that topic. Is this consistent with what you are experiencing? -------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Neal, This may be so for IIS, but I believe the default configuration of Apache provisions for content expiry. I will look further into it, but as I said the images don't appear to be (re)downloaded for everyone. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Because vBulletin sucks? lol. I have thread notifications at two other vB based forums and sometimes I get notifications but other times I don't... Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Didn't get your reply notification! My vBulletin "stock" forums work fine. When you go adding third party nonsense to it, you break it! This forum appears to be one of those! Can't leave well enough alone, gotta go adding stupid SEO nonsense and other things that just make it worse! ![]() E-mail notifications on THIS forum are broke! vBulletin rocks by the way! |

Actually, that mod is likely causing the quick reply to stop responding at times... Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |
