Reseller Center Invoices - 01-09-2007, 05:00 AM

I would like to suggest a different way for invoices in reseller center.

Currently there is only one invoice geneated for all active clients/licenses. I think it would be ideal if each license invoice was generated individually, with a check box by them. You could then check the ones you want to pay for or just select all.

This would be ideal, as I have had some payments not go through and the generated invoice in reseller center can not be changed. According to Kayako sales.

This is a good suggestion although I would like to add that they should also start accepting PayPal as the mode of payment for reseller licenses.

I agree with the PayPal. There is no worry of chargebacks like with direct sales so no reason not to.

There is double the worry, actually - you can chargeback a PayPal payment from your credit card and there is the PayPal dispute system which is notorious for being generalised and unfair.

Although better than before, fraud is still higher with PayPal than it is with direct credit card processing because it is much easier to hijack a PayPal account than it is to steal someone's credit card details.

Fraud is better than what it used to be with PayPal, however. We'll consider it for future.

Back to the original topic, this is a very good suggestion, Jemrada. I will pass it onto Varun (who developed the reseller portal).

Actually Paypal's dispute system is only good for Tangible goods and well this isn't a tangible good so you wouldn't be able to open a paypal dispute and get your money back. So you would have to open a Chargeback with your actual credit card company..

But either way it really don't matter why would a Reseller issue a chargeback.. If we did that then Kayako would just Terminate all Licenses...

Exactly the point I was trying to make.

Are resellers able to pull back licences into their reseller account if the order is found to be a chargeback?

I think they should be able to do that once the Resellers place a request with Kayako Sales.

Probably yes, but there may be an issue where an owned license was sold and generated for the user (even after the chargeback, the user will still effectivley have an owned license).

If it happens to a reseller the reseller should contact us to discuss things.

My biggest issue is that its ether pay for them all or none at all. I have had some people not pay until there license expires.

Jamie yes but if kayako pulls the license back to the resellers account then technically we own it as we paid for it but the client hasn't therefore their key.php file will still work but you can contact them as if its piracy as once its put in the resellers account and we change the domain on it then the old client will no longer be in your database. So you can email them and order them to remove it or contact their domain name registrar... So there are ways to get around it... But there should be ways to protect the client also that way a reseller cant go saying owe they issued a chargeback just to get their license back when they didnt issue a chargeback so we should be required to send the "Chargeback Documents we received from our Merchant Provider" to Kayako before they will revert the license back to us.
