How about a stable build of version 3 before thinking of version 4? There are many others like myself who have been waiting to install a stable version that includes the many fixes since 3.11.01.

Come on Kayako, it's been 6 months since the last stable release!!! What's the problem?

Thats what we are working on, if you notice the recent threads we have been hard at work trying to resolve all pending WHMCS issues and high priority issues (like AJAX based auto loading of staff & status in mass action and other areas).

We are targetting a new stable this week or the next by max.

Exactly my thoughts, time is probably needed elsewhere instead of writing documentation for unsupported hacks

For final release target dates, yes, I think that it a perfectly reasonable assertion. But I think rough estimates such as 'last quarter 2008' are also perfectly reasonable, doing more good than harm.
Kayako has already done this before and caused a little mess.

I appreciate Jamie's willingness to provide a rough time frame for v4 (even if it is very rough), and I will keep it in mind that it has been qualified as such.
Jamie remembers what happened in the past. Frankly, I wouldn't want to be in that position and he made it clear he wasn't going to be.

Don't hold your breath... and who knows what is in version4? Some feature requests are near two years old... some of those we took for granted being in the product.

Take a look at the feature requests board ("Implemented"). Jamie and Varun are moving requests to there once they have been implemented.
