Help Desk Software By Kayako eSupport v3.00.13

This is the version that was sent to me for the trial we currently have running.

We cant look in the source code as its obviously encoded. :/

what version are you running ?
I have just tested the 3.00.26 cvs from 29th nov, it seems to work.

Have you "tampered" with some templates or something ? It looks like a syntax error of some kind.

Not tampered any of the templates. Its just a fully default layout etc.

Is there any changelog for esupport?

OKies, i'm about to rip my hair out now lol.

So far....

Attempt 1)
BaseDN = DC=STBEDES,DC=internal
RDN = CN=administrator,DC=STBEDES,DC=internal

This provided invalid credentials (RDN?)

-----------------------

Attempt 2
BaseDN = DC=STBEDES,DC=internal
RDN = STBEDES\administrator

Doesnt work

-------------------------

Attempt 3
BaseDN = DC=STBEDES, DC=internal
RDN = CN=administrator, CN=USERS, DC=STBEDES, DC=internal

Doesnt work

------------------------

So far, attempt 2 + 3 have let ONE user login... this being the user 'admin2'. The strange thing is, it wont let any other user from even within that container login.

But even when it manages to login i still get the error messages like this one...

Then it goes onto saying it has successfully logged in?!?!
Then when i go to actually creating a ticket using that username and then submitting it i get this error message...

But which field??!!??

I am now 100% stumped!!

Are those BaseDN's and RD's correct?!

BaseDN = DC=STBEDES,DC=internal
RDN = STBEDES\administrator

Is the way i run !

You should note that there is a "bug" in kayako the tells that you are not logged in even if you are
It is caused by the querystring ?loginresult=0 that is transfered from a bad login to a good login ;-) This may get you to think you were not logged in

About the missing field ... when you check the users that is created from ad .. do they have an email address ?

Also, just wondering... as we have all of our users in an OU do we need to add anything for an OU syntax?

like OU=Establishments

or would that not work?

Yeah i have check AD and the e-mail addresses are all inputted. When i go to the staff CP -> manage users i see admin2, which makes me think its been imported from AD.
But when i check the imported e-mails there is no sign of it there?!

Please explain this some more ...

If a user is generated that belongs to the AD you have succes ? (At least on the ad integration)

Do you mean that there are no email adresses imported for the admin2 user ?

Hybrid,

I had the same cannot modify header information errors, but it was due to not having write access for the IUSR account (we run SupportSuite on a Windows 2003 server). Not sure if this would resolve your cannot modify error messages but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

As far as the AD LoginShare template goes, I have tried every combination I can think of for both the Base DN and RDN and nothing works. So right now I'm banging my head against my desk several times, then I'm going to close this browser window and wait until I hear from Kayako.
