A POP account is the best to use actually. If Kayako stops working, it simply won't pull the mail and it will sit in the inbox of that account until your help desk gets fixed. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

If you are okay using an external email address then you can use gmail.com. Forward all emails sent to support@domain.com to youremail@gmail.com. Enable POP in Gmail and set "When messages are accessed with POP" to "Archive Gmail's copy". That way you will have a copy of all the emails you have received. Make sure you add your gmail account as an email queue in Kayako. Just clarifying: Do you mean to setup the email queue in Kayako via fetching by POP3? If yes, we would prefer to have emails parsed directly to kayako rather than by having it fetch emails by POP3 as I believe it is quicker. | |

Yes I meant adding email@gmail.com as an Email Queue and fetch emails from that account using POP3 SSL.
