Blank screen on install - 03-05-2008, 01:07 AM

I have just installed my version of Support Suite and when i browse to the setup folder for install I only receive a blank page.

I have a feeling this has something to do with PHP but im not sure. A link to the phpinfo file is listed below.

phpinfo()

Thanks in advance for anyones help.

I am encountering the same issue, with PHP 5.2.6, Zend Optimizer 3.3.3, eSupport 3.20.02. If I can assist, let me know what information I should pull from my phpinfo page.

Have you checked the permissions of the setup folder and it's contents?

I already had a PHPInfo page ready, but wasn't sure about sharing it. Anyways, the link is http://helpdesk.rhinosoft.com:8080/phpinfo.php.

This is a Windows 2000 Advanced Server box running the Serv-U FTP Server. I have CHMOD my "files" and "cache" folders to 777, and set up my config.php file, but no luck.

Please change the following parameter and it shall resolve your issue:
display_errors = Off

Switch it to "On"

Thank you Raghav! I performed that step and received the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in D:\Inetpub\Helpdesk\includes\functions.php on line 421

I have entered the correct details in config.php for my database, and enabled php_imap.dll, php_mysql.dll, and php_mbstring.dll in my php.ini file. What am I missing?

I believe that you have already installed the helpdesk at:
Hampton Heights - Powered By Kayako SupportSuite

Can you please let me know if you are still getting the issue at some other installation?

Hi Raghav,

eSupport is only installed on one server. I've never heard of Hampton Heights. I am using a trial Leased License which was granted to me so that I could demo the product locally before purchasing a license.

Sorry, its my bad. I assumed that the phpinfo() in the first post, was yours.

Can you please email me your phpinfo() file and I will look into this issue. As it seems to be MySQL compilation issue only.

Raghav,

I posted the link on 7.5.08 - it is online, again, at http://helpdesk.rhinosoft.com:8080/phpinfo.php. My trial ID expires on 5/14 - should I request a new one so that I can continue working on this issue?

The phpinfo() link is not working for me. Please email me the complete details and I will look into it.

2. I have extended your trial for next 10 days. You can download the new license key from the members area.

I'm sorry Raghav, one of our sysadmins added an IP-based ACL to that IIS site. I have removed it and you should now be able to access it.

You need to make the following changes to your php.ini:
Code:
reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE
magic_quotes_gpc = On
max_execution_time = 600
memory_limit = 50M
upload_max_filesize = 20M
