Could someone help with our install problems - 28-07-2006, 08:12 PM

Hi there,

We've just purchased Support Suite, download our license key and have moved it to our webserver.

http://207.106.214.158/helpdesk/setup/setup.php

Nothing appears when I hit the setup screen, as you'll see.

A few things that may be of help:
  • We're on Windows 2003 server
  • http://207.106.214.158/info.php to learn about the PHP environment
  • I've unzipped the download with WinRar, not Winzip
  • We moved the files directly to the web server, we did not use FTP (so I'm hoping that gets rid of the binary vs ascii issues, but I have a hunch about this one)
  • I have correctly edited the config file in the config folder

Any help that anyone could provide would be pretty great at this point.

Thanks!

G

Hi there,

yup, that's a symptom of being recognized as an ASCII mode file. (Can also tell when going to http://207.106.214.158/helpdesk/setup/ the image doesn't load either so it's not being seen as BINARY)

FTP your install over and you should be good to go!

Hey Steve,

We're on PHP 5.1.4, and I think that may be the culprit...we're going to try 4.4.2 I think. The binary file seems to have been solved

Let me know if you have any additional thoughts. I still get a blank page when I try to hit http://207.106.214.158/helpdesk/setup/setup.php

Before you downgrade. Check what version of Zend Optimizer you have installed. Make sure it is the latest release. I have seen Zend spit blank pages out before when the version is not compatible with the php version..
