http 500 error when running set up - 14-04-2009, 07:01 PM

Hi,

Before upgrading my production site I always test the new version on a test server. I have downloaded supportsuite 3.50 zend open. I copied the upload folder to htdocs, modified the config.php file and copied my licence key. I run the setup and see a page with set up, install, modify, etc (for some reason the logo is missing) and click on set up. I am presented with a blamk page and an HTTP 500 error.

Here is the contents of my Apache log:

[Tue Apr 14 19:54:31 2009] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] (20024)The given path misformatted or contained invalid characters: Cannot map GET /kayako/setup/%3C?=strtolower(SWIFTPRODUCT)?>big.gif HTTP/1.1 to file, referer: Kayako Forums - Powered by vBulletin

any ideas how to proceed?

Cheers,

jono

Hi Jono,

In php.ini, make sure that short_open_tags is set to "On".

Hey there,

We're having the same issue, but for us it's with IIS7 on a MS Server 2008 box.

We actually had it running before, but after just getting another server, we wanted to do a fresh re-install, so we followed the exact procedures (as far as we know) as we did last time (we even went thru all the docs), and now we're getting this 500 error .

We set the short_open_tag to "On" as suggested, but no go. Any hints/tips/pointers?

Thanks
