I made a major mistake

I just upgraded and like an idiot I overrode my config file. Now I cannot do anything from the set up.

What do I do to at least get up and running??

One of two things:
Recreate the config file from the download.
Restore the file from a recent server backup.

Just change your database login credentials and use the new login information in config.php. That should fix it as well

You might have but it wasn't very clear. SS's explanation gave clearer instructions.
