Install times out

Hello, I just started installing the SupportSuite and have run into an issue. I upload everthing in binary mode, change the permissions on cache and files to 777 modify the config.php file upload the key in binary, verified I have Zend (http://support.symmnet.com/php.php). The install starts fine untill I get to the info page, I enter my info and press "Start Auto Install" it sits there for a minute and times out, I get and error page in IE. I've tried both the Zend version and the ioncube version, I've tried from 2 diffrent computers, one Vista one XP. I thought maybe it was the database but if I restart the installer I get a message telling me that the database is populated and I must empty it, however I get the message that I must run setup when I go to the root interface.

Any Ideas?
