Installation issues with zend and ioncube - 13-08-2007, 10:29 AM

I'm having a number of problems getting started with support suite, can anyone see where I'm going wrong.

I'm trying to install support suite to windows 2000 machine which is connected to a private network on our company's network. As I have a limited time to install and am not on site until next week I am currently testing and practicing the install process at home on a clean xp machine.

As I'm familar with Apache but not with mysql, php etc I've opted for a installation on xampp which seems to have saved a lot of time. I intented to use zend as xampp comes with this and my phpinfo shows zend optimizer 3.3.0 in use. After creating a subdir in the htdocs folder and copying all the necessary files to the right location the app says that zend is not available.

I've then switched to ioncube and downloaded the ioncube version of supportsuite have installed it into php.ini and the ioncube test script says it's working however supportsuite says "Site error: the file C:\xampp\htdocs\support\swift.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dll to be installed by the site administrator."
What's going wrong?

Can you create a PHP info file (http://forums.kayako.com/f74/creating-phpinfo-page-12660-post56371/) and link to it please then we will be able to help you further.

This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2007 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32, Copyright (c) 2002-2007, by ionCube Ltd., and
with Zend Extension Manager v1.2.0, Copyright (c) 2003-2007, by Zend Technologies
with Zend Optimizer v3.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2007, by Zend Technologies
According to that, both Zend and IonCube are installed. I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

I'm working directly on the server and not remotely, as such I have not ftp'd the files into place merely copied and pasted in windows explorer. Will this make a difference?

I have gone back through the installation process described in the manual step by step.

I have opted for zend if possible but still get the attached error page.

Looking at all the possible bits that I'm not sure about in step eight of the manula it specifys to set the permissions of the cache and files folders to 777 or read-write-execute on windows, I've presumed this means for "everyone"

my registered domain is slightly different to where the product is installed, will that make any difference?

Copying and pasting the files will make no difference.

Your licenced domain has nothing to do with this error nor does permissions. It is saying Zend is not installed yet PHP info says differently.

Did you make sure to restart IIS after making the changes?

If you are having problems with Ioncube, you could try the Zend build.

Try a hard stop and start rather than a restart. I remember Nick @ IonCube telling me that that both Zend and IonCube often need this doing.

I think the install instructions need to be updated to include this note for idiots like me.
Sorry.

Thanks for posting that, blaforce. I edited your post to wrap quote tags around your quoted message.

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:\xampp\htdocs\support\swift.php:569) in C:\xampp\htdocs\support\includes\functions.php on line 1614

I cannot log on and am completely new to php so it means nothing
