Installation Problems

Hi,

I am trying to install the Zend version of Support Suite. When I follow the instructions and it asks me to go to the following page to begin setup ( http://localhost/test/setup/ ) I am presented with the following error:

Fatal error: Unable to read 58492 bytes in /var/www/test/includes/functions.php on line 0

I have checked and I am running Zend and the output from phpinfo() is listed below about the Zend Installation.

This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2007 Zend Technologies
with Zend Extension Manager v1.2.2, Copyright (c) 2003-2007, by Zend Technologies
with Zend Optimizer v3.3.3, Copyright (c) 1998-2007, by Zend Technologies

The server platform that I am testing this on is Ubuntu Server 8.04 with PHP Version 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.3 and MYSQL Client API version - 5.0.51a running. Further information about the configuration is listed below.

Apache/2.2.8 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.2.4-2ubuntu5.3 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/0.9.8g mod_perl/2.0.3 Perl/v5.8.8

It appears that part of this issue was caused in part to the files having been uploaded in ASCII mode instead of Binary. I re-uploaded the files and now have a new error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DNUMBER, expecting ')' in /var/www/test/config/config.php on line 87

This error was due to an IP address range being placed in the following section of the config.php file:

$_SWIFT['iprestrict'] = array();

Once I removed the IP address it worked fine.

I keep getting this error in my logs, and it won't install

fixed it. Didn't have short_open_tag set to on
