Installing / setting up/ testing and moving

Hello...

We are hours away of buying the owned version of the latestes build 3.11.1 and my idea is to install it on a subdomain, fine tune it to our needs and test it. and than when our new dedicated machine is ready my intention is to move
all the bits and pieces to the new dedicated server and set it up under the same subdomain of the very same domain, for which we will buy the 3.11.1 build.

I have seen some bits and pieses on moving the support suite. But can some one show me a post where i can simply follow those steps and be sure it actually will work again? I have to be very sure that i don´t "break" nothing
when i get it to work on the new D. Server

Hoping some can help me, on this.

1. Do a database dump / export from phpMyAdmin / command line.
2. Create a database on the new server and import that dump / export.
3. Download all files.
4. Edit the /config/config.php with the new database details.
5. Upload the files to the new server.
