Latest CVS failes to install

Hi;

I tried to install the latest CVS hoping it has resolved the Mac chat issues but the installation failed.

I got an error about Description field is duplicate and table can not be upgraded.

Now I get the following error in our support site:

[WARNING]: Database Version Tag (3.04.50) and File (3.04.21) Mismatch!
Please update your files to the latest revision, This error happens when your database structure is different than the PHP files you are using.

Any idea what is going on?

EDIT: Ah, my mistake. Didn't see a new build just came out with that version number. The above happened if you had done the upgrade but not replaced the files by the latest ones.

Thanks for your help..

I installed the CVS version and had the problem so I reverted back. This morning I installed the December 1 CVS - 21 release and now our LiveSupport desktop clients do not work.

I have reverted back to the previous version & have the same problem. IE 7 and Mac browser issues are still there and the system does not work with either of the browsers.

Browsers that have issues:

- IE 7
- Mac Safari
- Mac Firefox

Same old same old..

Are you talking about the winapp because it's still undergoing a lot of testing. Just use the stable version of Winapp along with the CVS build of e-support.

[Extra]

on the CVS 3.04.50 if you see the error above run the SQL

ALTER TABLE swcustomfields DROP description;

remember CVS is only for test :-)

Yep, Use CVS at your risk. There will be another major update coming out soon which should break stuff even more..
