Moved server - 14-03-2008, 07:25 AM

I just moved our helpdesk from a server we hosted to a cpanel account on a WHM that we manage.

Since doing so we have the following problems...

The helpdesk doesn't appear to be sending any emails. It is set to use PHP to send mail.

The helpdesk struggles to pickup mail from our POP3 2003 Exchange server. When it does eventually pickup mail it takes a long long time to parse the email. You can see when we changed the server below...

Success 12 Mar 2008 04:41 PM 189.151 Seconds test

Result: Created ticket #ccc-xxxxx
Success 12 Mar 2008 01:23 PM 0.987 Seconds

The logs are very basic in Kayako and don't help in diagnosing the problem. Could anyone give me any pointers where to look? Sadly we don't have SSH access.
Also we struggled to moved the database from the old server to the new one. We had to move items in the chunks table one by one.
There doesn't appear to high load on the server.

I've managed to iron out all of the problems we have been having. However we still have one problem and that is the parsing times are still quite high. Before they would complete in a second or less. Since the move they now seem to be a lot slower. Could anyone give me some feedback on their parsing times? We use POP3.

It depends. Do these replies contain attachments? If so, those are normal times. Otherwise, they are large times and I suggest you contact Kayako for them to take a look at what is going on (http://members.kayako.net -> "Get Support").

These are just normal emails.

I would use "Get Support" but our maintenance ran out a month or two back.

I suggest you renew as 3.20.00 is coming out "in a few hours" (quote from Ryan) and you can see if it is the same on this build. If it still occours you can have support trace it (much easier to find out what is going on when you have access to everything than it is for us to take stabs in the dark about would it *could* be).
