Moving to a new server

I am moving from Solaris to Windows 2003 R2. I have installed Apache 2.28 and the latest versions of PHP and Zend. I am currently running 3.20.02.
When I try to run setup.php or any other supportsuite script I get a 500 error. My PHP error log says
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in C:\Program Files\Apache\www\supportsuite\includes\SmartyLight \class.template.php on line 351.

Any ideas what may be causing this?

Sounds like PHP config issues. I'd open a support ticket, make sure you give them a link to your phpinfo.

I thought that it was a PHP config issue. I have been through my config, and matched it line for line with what I could find in this forum with no change in my results.
I guess that it is time to submit a ticket.

Make sure you uploaded all files in Binary format and your new server meets all software requirements.

Was it due to short_open_tag being set to off(by default). Please let us know if that is correct.

It is almost certainly short_open_tag being off. However, if not, please open a support ticket.
