My php build has mbstring enabled yet when I go to setup all I get is a blank screen

Hi,

I've followed all the steps in the installation yet when I go to setup all I see is a blank screen.

I've search this forum for this problem yet all I can find is that php has to be compiled with mbstring enabled.

I've looked in my phpinfo file and mbstring does seem to be enabled.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be wrong?

Change error_reporting to error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE and check your server error_log for any reported errors.

Hi,

Yes, if couldn't read from the includes/functions.php ... I had forgotten to upload in binary mode.

I deleted everything then uploaded again in binary mode now everything works fine.
