New install stops - 01-04-2008, 02:10 PM

Hi,

I'm installing the Kayako SupportSuite 3.20.02 on my live server.
By the auto install it just stops.....it doesn't do anything anymore.
See the following screenshot:

What's going on?

I looked in my php.log file and saw the following:
Code:
[01-Apr-2008 15:33:55] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 262144 bytes) in D:\Websites\helpdesk.dynadata.nl\modules\livesupport\setup.php on line 307
What to change in my php.ini file to succesfull complete the installation?

Problem solved:

Changed "memory_limit = 8M" in the php.ini file to "memory_limit = 12M".

Sir, you really should have a much higher memory limit than that. The PHP default is 256M. In most situations we recommend at least 20M for use of our product, though even moderately heavy use can lead you to needing 32M or more.

Hi John,

Thank you for your reply. I changed the default value of the "memory_limit" from 128M to 8M because I saw that in:
Configure PHP.INI settings for a Windows based server

I've now changed the "memory_limit" back to 128M again.
