PHP5 compatibility - 18-08-2008, 07:50 AM

Hello everyone.

I was wondering which eSupport version first supported php5.

I do realize that 3.20.03 is the first version that requires php5
(Change to minimum server requirements: PHP 5.1.0 is now required).

I haven't been able to find the response by searching the forum, so would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Kayako v3 does support PHP5. Our clients use older versions of Kayako on PHP5 without any issues.

Out of interest, can I ask why you wish to use an older version?

Exclamation Out of date is bad, m'kay - 19-08-2008, 07:53 PM

It is important to keep up to date, as several important security holes have been closed in recent versions.

itm_soup: you do not want to run out of date SupportSuite.

SupportSkins: we would appreciate it if you would consider advising your clients of the importance of upgrade.

I imagine many of them don't want to as Hiren has created them custom skins and it costs to have these upgraded between versions.

We would however not everyone prefers to upgrade out of choice nor do all our clients approach us for any such advice.

We provide free update for customed skins for 90 days from the date of purchase after which they can get further updates by paying a nominal fee so I do not presume this would be the reason.
