I am having a wierd issue with Kayako SupportSuite trying to make it work with POP3 SSL. When I try to fetch the email I incur the following error: "Can't open mailbox {server.ip:995/pop3/ssl/novalidate-cert/notls}INBOX: invalid remote specification" I have covered the following facts: 1) Server using Exchange Server 2003 2) Port 995 is accessible 3) Same POP3 SSL account is accessible and works fine via web using mail2web.com 4) Server PHP is complied with OpenSSL support 5) Using latest stable build - 3.10.02 - without any CVS files being implemented. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? Is there an issue with POP3 SSL in Kayako? I get the same error when trying to set up Gmail as well - "Can't open mailbox {pop.gmail.com:995/pop3/ssl/novalidate-cert/notls}INBOX: invalid remote specification" Has anyone succeeded in setting up POP3 SSL? Can you confirm this with the developers Jamie? Hi again, Could you please e-mail Mahesh (bugs -at- kayako.com) with your details on this and he will help you trace the problem (he has not experienced it before). -------------------------------------------------------------------

I could use the example at following URL to send mails from my google hosted account which demonstrates that SSL is working on my server :- http://www.vulgarisoip.com/?p=17 |

I also am having problems. the article about it says to compile imap with ssl, however it doesn't seem to be possible to do that. http://support.kayako.com/index.php?...barticleid=231 I have tried and I have had liquidweb try, php throws error and fails to compile. kayako needs to come up with another method to get email from ssl only hosts such as gmail. |

Yes I had this soughted out. Upgrade to the latest version of PHP and it will fix the issue. The issue is known to exist in all versions prior to v5.1 (if I remember correctly). I am receiving the same error. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Warning: imap_open() [function.imap-open]: Couldn't open stream {pop.googlemail.com:995/pop3/ssl/novalidate-cert/notls}INBOX in /home/*********/modules/parser/cron_parser.php on line 107 array(1) { [0]=> string(68) "Can't connect to googlemail-pop.l.google.com,995: Connection refused" } Total Messages Rejected Messages: Accepted Messages: --------------------------------------------------------------------- but, it is because, the host blocked the port 995 and they had given permissions and it works fine now. Regards, Dongan |
