Should I Upgrade? - 02-01-2007, 05:17 PM

I'm currently running SupportSuite v3.00.80. Is it worth the $50 to upgrade? Can anyone point to or list some of the major features/improvements that would merit the upgrade? Our system is working great and is stable. Before we plow ahead, I'd like to get some feedback regarding some of the improvements and real-world implementations.

Thanks!

Andy

It is advisable to upgrade to the latest stable build. A complete changes log explaining the bug fixes and new features can be found at -- Kayako SupportSuite v3.04.10 Stable Build. Hope this helps

It would really come down to a personal preference for you. I just now upgraded to 3.04.51 so that I can get the ability for clients to close their own tickets as well as to get our system working with IE7.

I have not had a chance to test yet to see what breaks with this CVS build. Since the last stable release "build" was in October, no telling when the next stable build will be released.

So, keeping those things in mind, you just have to look through the change log and see if there is something in there that would warrant the $50 plus all of the time you will invest in troubleshooting, testing, and reintegrating your setup.

Best of luck!

Eddie

I am still waiting for 'gold' release - 03-01-2007, 06:57 AM

Hi,

Here is my experience with supportsuite.

I bought the 'owned' ver back in Aug 2005 becasue I really liked this product. But the bugs and issues I had to deal with were to many for a 2 person team I had at the time to support this software. The live chats used to break up all the time with vistors on my site.

Anyway, like a year later I sent email to Kayako and they were kind enough to let let me upgrade to 3.0.9 which was the latest one at the time. Even this ver did not solve my issue of chat sessions breaking up. So, now I have completely stopped using SupportSuite. I just give a yahoo id for chat

I still periodically come here to see if there is a 'stable gold' version that I can pluck down $50 to upgrade to...but a year and half later and out $500 I am still with a product I dont use.

I guess I just need to be a little bit more patient for the 'gold' release.

We are using SupportSuite and works perfectly for us. As for LiveChat, it's pretty much stable now and works without any glitches.
