Upgrade Instrictions? - 29-03-2006, 08:57 AM

Hey guys, I've been searching this site now for 2 hours trying to find out how to upgrade from v2 to v3. I don't want to loss the data in my database now, and it would be nice to have a simple link somewhere showing members how to upgrade with out wondering if there data is lost...

Thanks for any help.

I didn't know you couldn't upgrade. My partner is the one who bought the script, I'm the programmer. Is there any information about the upgrading status? I've never used a script that didn't offer you upgrading options before, and I run a site dedicated to PHP programming.

Neil kinda spelled it out in this thread:
Upgrade error

Baiscally, you don't upgrade, you do a complete new install and import the data. I read there is a bug on importing the KB (here and here) that may come up, but it shouldn't effect your v2 install I don't think so you can drop back if you have problems.

And Owned licenses holder can upgrade when ever they want to, it's the hosted users need to wait... I recommend sticking with the .32 stable release tho, not using newest unstable ones quite yet, but you can if you want to.
