upgrade mysql from 3.23 to 4.* or 5.* - 17-02-2006, 12:13 AM

We have a redhat enterprise 3 with mysql 3.23
I was wondering if upgrading to 4 will cause any problem.
what about 5?

We're running on MySQL 4.1 without issue. I'd highly recommend upgrading, as it's considerably faster and more stable.

I need to go from v4.x to v5.x, however, I wish to currently stay on v3.0.90 of the Kayako product. I seem from the latest 3.1 release that this provides MySql v5.x support, however, has anyone upgraded to v5.x successfully?

Were there any issues?

Mark

We're using it with mysql 5.0.22, and it's working fine.
if you compiled your php, you may have problems if you don't recompile it against mysql 5 libraries.
