Upgrading PHP and Zend - 23-02-2007, 09:06 AM

We're running PHP version 5.0.4 and Zend 2.0.4 and wish to upgrade to the latest versions. I've installed PHP and Zend using yum (Kayako is running on Fedora Core 4), but I can't find any RPMs with the latest PHP and Zend builds. However, Fedora Core 6 has got updated RPMs. Would installing Core 6 RPMs on a Core 4 system work? Or do I have to upgrade PHP and Zend from source? Anybody got a good guide on how to do this? I'm quite the novice regarding PHP and Zend.
