Question Upgrading SupportSuite from a very old version - 31-07-2007, 10:26 AM

Hi everyone.

Can anyone give me any pointers on upgrading from our old version (3.00.27) of SupportSuite to the latest version?

Can we upgrade straight to it, or do we need to install an interim release? Say upgrade from 3.00.27 to 3.05.00 then from 3.05.00 to the latest version?

I'm quite conscious of the fact that our helpdesk is live, with lots of active and closed tickets which we need to keep, as well as the piping which needs to stay in place.

Has anybody recently done an upgrade from an old version to the latest, and if so, did you have any major (or minor ) problems you could let me know about, so I know in advance...

You can go straight up as the upgrader will detect what version you are on and apply the patches in between.

I've had a look at the latest User manual and the installation guide is WAY more thorough than it used to be.

Hopefully when we do an upgrade it'll run as smoothly as the manual suggests!

Yea, the manual is a lot better than it used to be. Jamie has done a good job of it.

Should be. Post back if you have any problems. Remember your file and db backup first!
