Unhappy CCed addresses getting random dot (.) added in the Domain - 14-02-2009, 07:56 PM

We have been having an issue with incoming emails that have others CCed on it. We had the Add CC as Recipient set (disabled now until this bug can be fixed). What is happening is that a random dot is added within the Domain section of the email address when it is parsed. I have been looking through the code to try and track down where this is happening to fix it.

Example:

Address that is CCed: someone@somewhere.com
Address ends up as : someone@somewh.ere.com or someone@som.ewhere.com

This has caused us a lot of problems with a few of our clients.

Also, it does not happen to every CCed address.

Anyone having similar problems?

Forgot to add that we are running Support Suite Version 3.30.02 Stable.

This is defect 814, which is fixed in CVS and due for fix for customers in the upcoming 3.50 stable.

RoadRash: we're testing it now. We're kind of hoping for early next week, but no promises.

Well unfortunately we will not be upgrading our Support Suite any time soon. We have done quite a bit of modification to fix bugs, customize some of the interfaces, and add additions that were not available. I have made the temp fix suggested in the Bug Tracker and it seems to have worked.

It isn't stable yet, but you can download the latest release candidate (marked as '3.50.01 CVS' under the Builds tab in the members' area. This release is stable, and will resolve this problem.
