Cool Clarification - E-mail address added to Distribution Group - 28-10-2008, 01:01 AM

Could someone explain why incoming e-mail will not work coming from a distribution group or provide a work around?

E-mail address that we use for Kayako was added to our distribution list. So far, no e-mail has arrived into the Kayako system that was sent to our distribution list...yet the t_parser worked fine and displayed number e-mail and removed. However, no e-mail hit the kayako application.

Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Makes a big difference whether you're using Pop or piping it. Some of us have experience with one, others the other.

In that case, unless the distribution list email address is the same as the queue address, you may need to set up a catch-all parser rule to accept messages in the box that weren't "To:" the queue address. We have several legacy support email addresses that are redirected at the mail server into a single box. Until we set up a catch-all, none of them were acted on by the parser.
