Cpanel Piping not working - 21-04-2007, 04:25 PM

Hi there,

I know this has been covered all over the forums, and I've tried every tip I could find But my piping still isn't working. Let me explain.

I just moved hosts, from one cpanel account to another.

Piping was working fine before I moved.

Now it doesn't.

I guess the messages are getting through because if I change the pipe path I get an "message delivery failed" notification.

When I use the correct pipe path I don't get the message but nothing appears in the help desk. They just Vanish!!

I have the EXACT same setup as I did in my old cpanel account, same domain setup, same subdomain setup (domain is infoweblink.com subdomain support.infoweblink.com)

The only tip I didn't try is the one post about exim

couldn't figure out were to find the file to modify.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Mark

Hi Mark,

Have you tried asking your host about why this may be happening? It is likely they will be able to identify off-hand a configuration that is particular to their server set up that may have stopped your piping from working.

Have you also made sure to set the file permissions for the /cli/index.php file? These may have not been carried over if you downloaded your files and reuploaded them.

Hi there Jamie,

They're looking into now as well.

I checked the permissions and they are set to 755 for the /cli/index.php file

the hosting company suggested I use the full path |/usr/local/bin/php /home/infoweb/public_html/support/cli/index.php

so I'm trying both:

|/usr/local/bin/php /home/infoweb/public_html/support/cli/index.php

and

|/home/infoweb/public_html/support/cli/index.php

but still no luck.

The strange part is that I seem to be getting the odd one through. one of my team is able to submit tickets via email but not ME! but not a single one of mine!!

It turns out I must have banned myself at some point

That's why other people could submit tickets.

No I just have to figure out how to unban myself

Thanks for the fast response anyhow

I suggest you try make the file 777 writeable. I also suggest you try using:

"| php -q /home/infoweb/public_html/support/cli/index.php"
and
"|/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/infoweb/public_html/support/cli/index.php"

I am no technical expert on this I am afraid, I usually solve it by trial and error!
