Email POP3 Scheduled Tasks just stopped - 19-06-2008, 06:44 PM

The scheduled tasks for retrieving our messages from an exchange 2003 server just stopped working yesterday (late in the evening when no one was on the system). All of the other scheduled tasks are working as normal so I know the cron portion is working.

Has this happened with anyone else? I can set the Email task to run but nothing is ever added to the log. I've even tried running the wget sequence from the command line to no avail.

System: windows server 2003

Crons used from command line:
C:\WINDOWS\wget.exe -q -O NUL https://support.mindworks.com/cron/index.php --no-check-certificate

C:\WINDOWS\wget.exe -q -O NUL https://support.mindworks.com/cron/index.php?_t=parser --no-check-certificate

I've checked the connection to the exchange server and that works as needed (telnet to TCP port 110)

Does anyone know how tasks are queued up? Are these in a table or temporary directory?

Thanks much for any input.

If you are using v3.20.02, check if a parser lock file exists in the "files" directory of the software. That could stop the email parser from fetching emails from your POP3 account.

Thank you! That was the issue. I will file this away for the next time.

Add &deletelockfile=1 to automatic delete the lockfile.

it saves you a lot of trouble next time

Any suggestion ?

(tried r&deletelockfile=1 , which used to work, but now it doesn't)

Thanks

Hi there,

What PHP version are you running? If it is anything earlier than 5.1.6, you will need to update - as this warning is caused by a bug in PHP.
