Hi All, Is anyone else on the hosted e-support package having problems with your emails being rejected by spam filters? I have just checked mail.helpserver.com on a spam search and found them listed this could explain it. APEWS [should not be used] LISTED (127.0.0.2) TXT= "Listed at APEWS-L2 - visit http://www.apews.org/?page=test&C=82&E=215028&ip=216.12.216.194 2100 seconds 31 ms |

Jamie has confirmed that some companies are blocking the hosted domain and they are working hard to get it unblocked. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

The problem is being spam listed plus spf record problems makes the hosted editon unusable. Is there anyway to use the our own domain to send via the hosted edition? |

I am not familiar with how the hosting platform works but you may be able to use an external SMTP server. Check the settings area. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

I do not know why we are listed here, but fortunately APNews is not a major spam DNSBL that is subscribed to by many. In fact, you can see the warning on the link below for APNews - "Should not be used". I will try and get us removed from it. You can check results of other major spam DNSBLs here: http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ip4r.ch?ip=helpserve.com We have worked hard to keep our servers off of the spam DNSBLs, including being totally whitelisted by AOL. We'll continue these efforts but we really do not have any control over the actions of others (right down to people pressing "Report spam" on a ticket receipt from helpserve.com when they do not know what a ticket receipt is, or what reporting Spam really is). -------------------------------------------------------------------

I have rechecked every one of our individual servers (21 of them - helpserve.com is just the mask) and most were included on the APNews spam list but none others (except one server, which has now been removed). -------------------------------------------------------------------

That is great news about not being on Spam list, but what about the SPF problem? Sending from the hosted version still gets picked up by spam filter as the email is sent from a different server that does not have a reverse DNS for the domain it is sending on behalf of. |
