piping works but still get error bounced mail - 23-10-2007, 11:43 AM

Hi everyone

i got the pipe email to work. when i email to my kayako esupport, they captured it fine and created the ticket but i still get an auto reply from my server

on top of that, my kayako doesnt auto respond and send me an email, nor is any of my other kayako mail out function works. when i reply to a ticket, it goes to a blank page, but if i uncheck the "sendmail" then it goes back to the right screen after i submit the reply.

but i did test webmail that came with cpanel on that domain and i could send and receive email perfectly. so it doesnt looks like my mail server problem.

what could it be?

i m on servint.com running latest cpanel.

i have uploaded cli/index.php in ascii plus its in the right permission.

Hello, I just overcome the EXACT problems you have mentioned today for my new install.

For mail piping I had to pipe to the full path to PHP first, and include the -q flag to suppress header output. So my pipe looked like

|/usr/bin/php -q /home/username/public_html/esupport/cli/index.php

That fixed my piping problem.

As for replying to a ticket and getting a blank screen, that was because I did not have the mbstring php option enabled. I had to recompile PHP to enable this, which is not an easy/safe task if you have not done it before or are unfamiliar with linux.

thanks for the info. unfortunately the piping still a problem.

i tried

damm... hehe.. as for the mbstring. i have submit to the hoster to help me with that. will update here about it.

so anyone else with any solutions?

Is your eSupport hosted on a subdomain or the TLD whose email you are trying to pipe?

alright its fixed!

the solution to the piping problem was the path in the cli/index.php ! my god!

i changed to /usr/bin/php and its working now

for the blank screen after email, mbstring solved it !! confirmed!
