Problem parsing Email - are these valid to RFC? - 20-06-2009, 08:08 PM

We're losing info from the beginning of the emails coming in via the parser. Only the latter part of the email is being parsed into the ticket.

I've attached two examples.

I'm wondering if they're not RFC compliant - shouldn't there bew two spaces prior to the start of the email body (after the X-Spam-Level line in these attachments).

Or is it a problem with the kayako software?

I think that this could be the problem. When you say latter part of the e-mail, what bit exactly comes through correctly?

Hi Jamie,

It is indeed because of the missing line break.

Kayako picks up the bit of the email after the first double-line break.

The provider of the POP box (a Zimbra hosted solution) are sure that their software, in their tests, has the appropriate line breaks. But the Kayako log says they don't.

We're forwarding to another host and collecting from the POP2 box there and it seems fine.

So I suspect that rules out Kayako as being the culprit.
