Route email to department based on subject? - 20-06-2008, 09:03 AM

Hello,

we have some monitoring software that sends emails to a general support@ email address. At the moment these emails log tickets in the general department.

The emails have a subject line that contains customer specific information. So we would like to route the emails to the relevant customer departments. Is there a way to route emails to a specific department based upon subject?

Hi ca99uk,

Yes there is - using mail parser rules. See in the administrator control panel -> Mail Parser » Manage Rules, and the respective section in the user manual.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. I can see in the mail parser where to create the rule for the subject line, however I cant see anywhere that says it will create the ticket in a different department?
