Setting up Email at large - 06-04-2008, 09:33 PM

Hi,

Purchased Support Suite a while back. Need to set it up now for tickets. The mails are not generating for user registration. However, I can setup a new user within the control panel just fine. When the users goes through the registration process, it just takes them back to the main page. There is nothing that tells them if they have registered or not. Something is wrong.

So, seems like something is wrong with my SMTP. I have set everything that I can see to set. Please advise on a diagnostic process.

Thank You,
SHD

Try creating a ticket in the helpdesk from the Staff CP and check if you receive the email. Also check if User E-mail Verification is set to Yes in the Admin CP.

Thanks for the help, but no good.

I tried the sending of an email to a ticket holder as well. It said the domain does not match the license of the product. This is true, I have since purchased a 2nd domain name to go with this.

So, the application may be failing and just not be prompting accordingly, due to this. So, what do I need to do?

Thanks,
Stephen Dawson

Hi,

I decided to put things back to the original domain, that this is setup. All service has been restored, with 1 exception.

I am not receiving notifications when a new user registers with the site. How do I set this up so I am emailed when a new users registers, so I can promptly accept their request?

Thanks.
