What is the email address used for hosted trial? In the email I got, it says: How to set up e-mail piping (allow incoming e-mail to be handled by the help desk) : Page 418 in the SupportSuite manual describes this process. E-mail addresses used in e-mail piping for your trial account should be in the format name@domain.kayakotrial.com what do I replace "name" with? |

Hi hwa, You cannot configure e-mail piping on the trial servers, but you can configure polling. You can set up an e-mail queue for one of your own POP3 mailboxes, hosted elsewhere. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi hwa, Sorry, I am mistaken - I was confusing your individual trial with the public trial. I believe you can create an e-mail queue for anything@domain.kayakotrial.com, as aliases are globally forwarded. I should double check this for you and report back, however. -------------------------------------------------------------------

By default Kayako provides you a trial an email queue as support@domain.kayakotrial.com. If you wish to use another email address like anything@yourdomain.com, you can do that as well. To use anything@yourdomain.com as an email queue you need to do the following: 1) Set an email forward from anything@yourdomain.com to support@domain.kayakotrial.com 2) Add anything@yourdomain.com as an email queue and assign it to a department in the helpdesk from: Admin CP > Mail Parser > Insert Email Queue Now if you send an email to anything@yourdomain.com it should create a ticket in the helpdesk.
