Create a "Tools" dropdown in Staff area - 10-05-2007, 02:41 PM

Suggest adding an additional menu item to the Manage Tickets|Search|New Ticket|... menu, perhaps called "Tools"

With the ability to setup custom links to other tools we use in tandem with eSupport.

Manage Tickets|Search|New Ticket|Predefined Replies|Alerts|Filters|Reports|Tools

With a configuration window where you could setup links to other apps etc.

So "Tools" would become another dropdown with links to other web based apps, which when clicked on would launch a given webapp in another window.

Yes, I know these are effectively just bookmarks, but those rely on users to maintain, and are not necessarily uniform among staff. This would put the same toolset at the hands on every staff member, and would help new agents with locating tools they need.

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.

Apologies for posting to my own post, but I found a way to do this and thought I'd link to it for anyone who might be interested.

Add a dropdown "Tools" menu to the top right menu in eSupport
