Parser log need not record MIME info

Hi,

Many of our ticket submissions have file attachments. All the MIME information is record in the parse log entry which makes both the database entries large (thus the need to purge old entries) and also leads to logs breaching the maximum file limits.

My understanding is that the MIME data in parser log entries isn't of any use and I would like to keep a long parser log as staff member find this useful. So would it be feasible to exclude MIME data from parser log entries?

Hi Rob,

The parser log can be set to prune at shorter times than the default.

I would be unhappy to put this in the consideration queue, because it would also remove the ability to reparse and recreate a ticket / ticketreply from a parser log entry.
