| Ticket parent/child relationship - NOT MERGE -

The merge feature is nice in some instances, but in a lot more instances, it would be nice to assign a ticket as parent and attach child tickets to it.
If we have an outage, for example, and we get 20 tickets on the subject, we really only need to resolve one. I would like to attach the other 19 tickets to the first one, and close them all when the problem is resolved, instead of merging them. Sometimes, the parent ticket will be worked between two parties that other users should not be privvy to, but I would want them to get updates when the ticket is closed/resolved or moved into another category. |
