Tickets created upon refreshing ticketsubmit page - 28-03-2007, 09:53 PM

Hi,

One of the biggest issues we have with kayako is when the customer submits a ticket, and then refreshes the page that it submits a new ticket.

There must be something done in regards to this as it is extremely annoying and time wasting.

Kayako should detect if the customer has already submitted the ticket within a previous amount of time similar to the ticket being submitted.

LOOK INTO THIS!

Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestion, it is a good one. I will pass it onto the developers.

Thanks,

Tickets created upon refreshing ticketsubmit page - 29-03-2007, 02:37 PM

Hello,

I would like to know if there is anyway to stop tickets being re-created when the client refresh his ticket submit page ?! its annoying when ppl don't know that and they still refresh thinking they will be able to view the replys! so that we have to enter and delete 5-10 tickets and leave one to answer on.

Thanks

Yes, I have seen this before. Sometimes need to delete new tickets. This is really a good feature

Would think it would be easier and less resource intensive to just run a redirect after the ticket is created to a new page. Another way of doing something that really needs to be done. We have users who consistently submit 10 copies of every ticket even when we tell them not to refresh.

Absolutely right, we have the exact same issue here
I hope developers can get this solved asap.

Ouch, that is an ugly little bug! I hadn't caught that one.

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.
Cheers!

I know...and if it hasn't been resolved already this should definately be at the top of the the developers list cause its a critical bug. This could potentially clog the system.

Why is this issue not being addressed by Kayako Staff? Somebody needs to speak up.

Hi Siora,

As I said previously I will ask the developers about this. I will post an update when I receive one.

Yeah but that was in March and this is a pretty serious bug.

The developers are aware of the issue and will work on a fix for it. However, they advise that it is quite tedious to implement so it will not arrive immediately.

Thanks,
