PDA Web Interface/Kayako Mobile - 18-09-2007, 09:21 PM

Hi,

Would it be possible to allow staff members to create new tickets from the PDA Interface and KayakoMobile? If a staff member is out in the field and finds a problem that is irrelevant to the ticket they are attending to they could then create a new ticket relevent to the problem they find.

It is due to be released for Kayako Mobile. It would be cool for the PDA interface though.

I'll give Ryan (Kayako Mobile developer) a poke later on the messenger later when he gets up (6:08am where he is now) as Jamie is off this week to find out for you.

Ok, I spoke to Ryan and it is still waiting on Varun implementing the server side part of it.

Kayako Mobile - New Ticket - 28-10-2007, 06:59 AM

I notice some progress on this in the CVS changelog from 25 October:

Quote:
Files Affected: 2
  • swift/locale/en-us/mobile.php (1.7)
  • swift/modules/tickets/mobile_push.php (1.9)
Notes: -- SWIFT
-> KM: New Ticket
- Handle flag types
- Don't interrupt entire sync process if new ticket can't be handled
- Handle due dates

-> KM: Existing Ticket
- Now processes flag type propchanges
- Added message for invalid flag type
I'm excited. Where's the KM app with the ability to take advantage of this? Pushy, pushy... I know. Somebody is working on it as we speak, right?

That is Varun implementing the core (PHP) side of it. It is still waiting on Ryan releasing the actual app with the functionality included.

Actually, most of what we are waiting for resides with the PHP side of things.

No - problems were encountered with the PHP side which required some changes (likewise with WM, in this respect).
