Nearing initial release - 01-10-2007, 08:25 PM

To keep everyone updated, we have completed the back-end (server) functionality for KASUS and will soon publish the initial release of the client application, which will also be packaged with the main distribution.

KASUS is "Kayako Automatic Update Service", which has now been renamed to "Kayako Software Update".

Kayako Update Service : ALPHA

No - it will not update your server software, only your desktop applications.

Am I missing something but how does KASUS (the old internal name) = Kayako Automatic Update Service.

K = Kayako
A = Automatic
S = ?
U = Update
S = Service

KAUS was the old public name, KASUS an old-old internally used name. Very confusing, but a minor point

Kayako has about 10 testers already (including me) who will be doing it. Feel free to PM Jamie if you want to be a tester. Unsure if he is looking for any more but no harm in asking.
